SLINGTON EATS is Waterstones Islington's monthly foodie event: For every last Wednesday of the month we invite one chef to introduce us to their book or restaurant, bring delicious food with them, and tell us what it means to them to come together for food.

In January we welcome Alex Hely-Hutchinson, author of 26 Grains. Her delicious cookbook spans energising breakfast porridges, lunchtime salad bowls, and nourishing dinners. Having lived and worked in Copenhagen, Alex Hely-Hutchinson's cooking is infused with 'hygge', the Danish art of cosiness that is "finding pleasure in making ordinary, everyday things – like cooking and eating – more meaningful".
